Acer launches a wave of 2026 gaming hardware, including the Predator Helios 9 Neo S, RX 9060 XT graphics cards, and high-refresh QD-OLED monitors.
Acer is entering 2026 with a broad refresh across its Predator and Nitro gaming lines, spanning laptops, high-refresh monitors, and discrete GPUs. Rather than focusing on a single flagship, the company is updating multiple performance tiers at once — from mid-range 1440p displays to 500Hz QD-OLED panels.
Here’s what stands out — and where each product fits in today’s market.
Predator Helios 9 Neo S: Thin Chassis, Mid-to-High TGP RTX 5070
The redesigned Predator Helios 9 Neo S pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU configured at up to 115W.

That power level places it in the mid-to-upper range for RTX 5070 laptops — not the absolute highest TGP implementations, but above thin-and-light baseline configurations. In practical terms, this should translate to strong 1440p performance in modern titles, assuming thermals hold up under sustained load.
Acer is emphasizing cooling upgrades, including:
- 5th-gen 3D AeroBlade metal fans
- Liquid metal thermal compound
- Five heat pipes
- Quad exhaust layout
The chassis measures approximately 18.9mm at its standard profile, with some tapered sections reportedly as thin as 12mm. Weight is around 2.3 kg (5 lbs) — competitive for a 16-inch gaming notebook, though not in ultrabook territory.
Display specs include:
- 16-inch 2560×1600 OLED
- 240Hz refresh rate
- 100% DCI-P3 coverage
- NVIDIA G-SYNC
Other features — Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E, 76Wh battery, 230W charger, and Windows Hello IR camera — align with the premium gaming-laptop segment.
In a crowded RTX 5070 laptop market that includes ASUS ROG, MSI Stealth, and Lenovo Legion models, cost will determine whether this is competitive or niche.
Predator XB273U X1: 1440p at 200Hz for the upper Mid-Range
The Predator XB273U X1 targets the still-popular 1440p high-refresh segment.

Specs include:
- 27-inch Fast IPS panel
- 2560×1440 resolution
- 200Hz native refresh rate
- 1ms GtG response time
- 400 nits brightness
- 90% DCI-P3 coverage
Connectivity consists of DisplayPort 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0 ports.
At 200Hz, this sits between mainstream 165Hz monitors and premium 240Hz esports models. For most players running RTX 4070 / RX 7800 XT–class GPUs, 1440p at 200Hz represents a realistic performance target without stepping into 4K pricing or GPU demands.
Built-in speakers (dual 2W) are included, though external audio remains preferable for most gaming setups.
Nitro Radeon RX 9060 XT: 8GB vs 16GB Matters
On the desktop side, Acer introduced the Nitro Radeon RX 9060 XT OC, offered in both 16GB and 8GB VRAM variants.

Key specifications:
- Up to 3320MHz boost clock
- 2780MHz game clock
- 182W total board power
- Single 8-pin power connector
- 269mm length (compact-friendly)
Display outputs include 2× DisplayPort 2.1 and 1× HDMI 2.1a, making it ready for high-refresh and next-gen panels.
The 16GB model will likely appeal to users targeting high settings at 1440p, especially as modern titles grow more memory-intensive. The 8GB variant, while more affordable, may face limitations in certain newer games at higher settings — something buyers should consider carefully in 2026.
Acer also added a white Intel Arc B580 OC 12GB and a low-profile Arc A380 LP 6GB, expanding options for compact and aesthetic-focused builds.
Nitro PG271K: Dual-Mode 4K / 144Hz Portable-Style display
The Nitro PG271K is a 27-inch display positioned as semi-portable, with integrated stand and VESA support.

It offers a dual-mode configuration:
- 4K at 72Hz
- 1080p at 144Hz
This flexibility allows users to prioritize clarity or smoother motion depending on workload or GPU power. That said, 72Hz at 4K places it more in the productivity or console-friendly space rather than high-end PC gaming.
The panel features:
- IPS technology
- 95% DCI-P3 coverage
- 0.5ms GtG rating
- USB-C power delivery
- Dual 1W speakers
Compared to traditional desktop monitors, the emphasis here appears to be versatility and easier transport rather than peak performance.
Predator QD-OLED models: 500Hz and 4K 240Hz at the High End
Acer’s most performance-driven announcements are its new QD-OLED displays:
- Predator X27U F5 — 27-inch 1440p at 500Hz
- Predator X27 X — 27-inch 4K at 240Hz

At 500Hz, the X27U F5 targets competitive esports players seeking maximum motion clarity. While the jump from 360Hz to 500Hz offers measurable latency reductions, the real-world benefit will likely be most noticeable to high-skill competitive players running extremely high frame rates.
The 4K 240Hz model, meanwhile, targets enthusiast gamers with high-end GPUs capable of sustaining triple-digit frame rates at UHD resolution.
Acer’s early 2026 portfolio suggests a strategy focused on breadth rather than a single breakthrough product. The company is covering:
- Thin high-performance laptops
- Mid-range 1440p monitors
- Entry-to-mid desktop GPUs
- Experimental portable displays
- Ultra-high-refresh QD-OLED flagships
There are few radical innovations here. Instead, Acer is refining established categories — pushing higher refresh rates, offering more VRAM options, and balancing portability with performance.
