The Cooler Master Hyper 612 APEX Pro is a refreshed air CPU cooler featuring upgraded Mobius fans, six third-gen heat pipes, and a premium magnetic top cover
Cooler Master has officially introduced the Hyper 612 APEX Pro, an updated version of its Hyper 612 APEX air CPU cooler. The new model brings several refinements to cooling performance and design, while keeping the familiar single-tower form factor. Pricing in China starts 55$, with brushed black, brushed silver, and white painted finishes available at slightly different price points.
A Refined Take on the Hyper 612 Series
The Hyper 612 APEX Pro sticks to a single-tower, dual-fan layout, a popular choice for users who want strong air cooling without moving to oversized dual-tower designs. The cooler uses six third-generation composite heat pipes, designed to improve heat transfer efficiency from the CPU to the aluminum fin stack.
A visual upgrade also comes in the form of an integrated metal magnetic top cover, giving the cooler a cleaner, more premium look inside modern PC builds. Fan installation relies on a clip-based mounting system, keeping installation relatively straightforward.
Upgraded Front Fan for Higher Performance
One of the key changes in the Pro version is the front fan. Cooler Master replaces the previous Mobius 120P with a faster Mobius 120U, while keeping the same 120 mm size. The rear fan remains a Mobius 120P.
According to Cooler Master, this fan change delivers measurable airflow improvements:
- Airflow: +13.7%
- Static pressure: +26%
Fan Specifications at a Glance
Mobius 120U (front fan):
- Speed range: 0–2700 RPM
- Max airflow: 77.8 CFM
- Max static pressure: 3.8 mmAq
- Max noise: 35.1 dB(A)
Mobius 120P (rear fan):
- Speed range: 0–2400 RPM
- Max airflow: 68.4 CFM
- Max static pressure: 3.0 mmAq
- Max noise: 30 dB(A)
This combination suggests Cooler Master is targeting better thermal performance under heavier CPU loads, while still maintaining acceptable noise levels for daily use.

Pricing and Positioning
The Hyper 612 APEX Pro is positioned as a mid-range premium air cooler, sitting above entry-level tower coolers but below massive flagship dual-tower solutions. Pricing breaks down as follows:
- Black brushed finish: ~ 55-60$
- Silver brushed finish: ~ 65$
- White painted finish: ~ 65$
For users building performance-focused systems who prefer air cooling over liquid solutions, the Hyper 612 APEX Pro offers a balanced mix of aesthetics, airflow, and thermal headroom.
Who It’s For
The Hyper 612 APEX Pro makes the most sense for:
- Enthusiasts running modern mid- to high-end CPUs
- Builders who want strong cooling without oversized coolers
- Users looking for a clean, premium air-cooled setup
With its upgraded fan configuration and refined design, Cooler Master’s latest Hyper 612 variant is clearly aimed at squeezing extra performance out of a familiar, proven platform.
